Q: How did FBH play a role in your experience at NDSU?
A: "I actually went to Minnesota State Community Technical College in Moorhead and not NDSU. However, because I lived with other students who went to NDSU I was able to make some wonderful connections that I might not have made if I was living elsewhere. I met many other students who went to NDSU and was exposed to a lot of things NDSU had to offer (even though I wasn't a student there) For example, one of my roommates had a Bible study member who invited us to the NDSU choir group's performance. So I would say those connections are really important. Also going into college, I was searching for a solid, quality friend to share my faith with and found one in the house I lived in! She is now my son's Godmother and we have shared so much life together, talk about a great experience! I could go on and on about how that has impacted my life for the better. Living in a house where our Faith was a common priority really set the tone for my deep friendship with her. Not to mention we were right by the Newman Center and had easy access to the Sacraments, Holy Hours, Mass and etc. In my mind that really set me up for success not only in my friendships but in my own personal life as well. That easy access to the Newman center helped me to more readily allow God to grow me emotionally, physically, and spiritually."
Q: What are a couple of reasons students should choose FBH?
A: "First, Christ-centered friendships are the friendships that will stand the test of time. So if a student can live with others who share their faith and might become their helpers on the path to heaven, I see that as beneficial. Second, easy access to what the Newman Center has to offer makes it simpler to devote your life to Christ. And once a person's life is correctly ordered and priorities are where they should be, success as a student follows! (And with how busy students can be, living near not only NDSU's main campus but the Newman Center as well is a HUGE plus)."
Q: Who would you recommend to live in FBH?
A: I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for positive growth in their life.
